We aren't huge on Halloween in our family. I have less issues with it than the hubs, but I respect him for his concerns, especially from a spiritual standpoint. I still love the dress-up part, and the excuse to wear a costume (or put Zion in one for that matter!) We did carve a pumpkin this year, mostly because we wanted to try some things out for our own family traditions, and the hubs has never carved one, not sure that it will be something we do every year.
We usually enjoy the non-scary parts of the festivities and chose to attend the Fall Festival at a local church so Zion could participate. All the way up until the day of, I thought for sure that Zion was a baby chicken….her costume just reminded me of fuzzy little newborn chicks…but I was wrong…she was clearly and most certainly a baby duck. So, I present to you, our very cute little duckling.
First carnival game…nailed it. (Course she didn't understand the concept of tossing)
Showing off her new prize: Poppy the Panda (yes we make up names for every stuffed animal)
"Zion, what do you want to do next?"
