Family Fun Day

#BlogHer12 @TheOogieloves

I hope you've been enjoying my BlogHer12 Recaps - I promise I'm almost done with them - in fact, the next and last one is going to be all of the great tips I learned while there, so check back this week for that one!!  Today - I want to share my Sunday after BlogHer officially ended.  Let's start with a little swag show-off:

I know this might look like a lot of swag, and trust me - I'm super grateful for the generosity of the brands and reps that gave them out.  Everyone loves a little freebie here and there.  But, I have to say - the most awesome swag I received was the business cards of PR/Brand Reps and personal connections from the conference.  <3

Sunday BlogHer held their Family Fun Day event sponsored by the Oogieloves Great Adventure.  I originally had no intention of signing up for this - but as the event came closer I thought it would be great to take advantage of a special opportunity for Zion.

The event had yummy picnic food, tents and tunnels, glitter tattoos, coloring stations, and the ultimate bouncy house - all inside the Chelsea Piers field house.  I was so excited for the chance to spend some quality time with Zion that I decided I didn't really want to network - I wanted to hang out with my little lady - who I missed!!

We had such a fun time - Zion didn't want to leave.  As we left, we were given a few fun things from the sponsors to take home, including: a glitter tattoo kit, stickers, a fun mobile to put together and a tent set.  We can't wait for the Oogieloves movie to come out this month on Oogust 29th! (August).
It wasn't long after leaving that I looked down at my little lady and saw she was totally spent.

If you've missed my other BlogHer12 recap posts - you can catch them here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

Precious Baby Girl

by Patricia Capansky

PRECIOUS BABY GIRL

    After many hours of waiting,
for this Husband and his Wife,
a baby girl named Zion,
was born into their life.

This precious baby girl,
a blessing from above,
for Courtney, and Jerry Earl
to have and hold and love.

And as they hold their Precious Girl
we surely can’t deny,
their love for her grows stronger
with each day that goes by.

But that’s what God intended,
he knew their hearts would shine,
so he sent this Little Angel
her love is so divine.

As weeks and months just fly,
sweet childhood won’t last,
each new day they smile and say,
“You’re growing up too fast.”

But the love keeps growing with her,
since she came into this world
to a couple that is truly blessed
with a Precious Baby Girl.

Isn't this poem beautiful!?

Martin Dejnicki,
inspired to write poetry to his wife for their 10th anniversary,
discovered his desire to bring joy to the lives of others through words,
and he is doing just that with his site, Anita Poems.

I was honored that he reached out to me
to write a custom poem about our family.

One of Anita Poems contributors,
Patricia, wrote this beautiful poem for us.

 Thank you Martin & Patricia!

The Weekly Wrap {2.25.12}

Our final adventures in Texas before heading back to the crazy city life in NYC.  Most of these are just the day-to-day activities and fun with three toddlers.

 Then I did my first ever newborn photo shoot for my new baby niece Sofia.
Not bad for a first try right?  (I have more, but I'm sure I'll get in big trouble if I post them before the announcements come out.)

The Weekly Wrap {2.18.12}

Better late than never, right?! I've been trying to make the time to get my photo editing done from my trip in Texas, but it has been way more important to adjust back to our NYC routine.  Without any further delay, the first in a couple of posts highlighting our last few weeks.

 We went to a pirate themed birthday party!
 My mom came down for my baby niece's arrival (and to see all her grand-babies).
 We enjoyed the beautiful Texas weather, played outside and had sweet treats!
And there were plenty of baby snuggles too!

A little later I will share the final week of our adventures in Texas!  :)

The Weekly Wrap {2.4.12}

 Zion finally decided she likes carrots, but only raw.
 After grocery shopping I found her in my room with this sleeve art.

 Our travel day came, and we enjoyed Five Guys burgers & fries at the Airport.

 I think she enjoyed it!
 Waiting for our flight to board, with a little Bob & Larry.

 Excited for our "Airplane Ride"
 We arrived and were greeted by this very preggo sister of mine!
 Our first day in Texas, Zion got to see what having a backyard is like.

 She especially loves the Power Wheels firetruck!

 The weather is so beautiful here…70's with a gulf breeze.
 Hammin it up for the camera.
 My nephew Angelo {almost 4!}
 My niece Gabriella {2 1/2}.
The family dog: Killer  (or "Keee-Laaah" as Zion says)!

How was your week?
