Mani Monday: Mommy & Daughter Valentine Nails

Today I gave Zion and I Valentine inspired Mommy-Daughter Mani's.  :)  I couldn't be more thrilled with the result.  For my nails I used Julep Eileen as the base and Julep Freida for the accents, and the reverse on Zion's nails.  I also applied a coat of a a bokeh looking glitter on top of mine, then topped off with THE BEST TOPCOAT ever: Julep Freedom Polymer - seriously the best ever!

Can't wait to see all of your manicures today!

Mani Monday

JulepMaven February Box

My Julep Maven box for February arrived late last week, and I'm floored at all the great items within it. I may even go as far as to say this was the best regular box ever!!  My box came with two polishes - I chose to change styles this month to "Bombshell" profile because my usual "Classic with a Twist" wasn't really exciting me - and I couldn't be happier!  I also received a nail treatment and a topcoat, plus a bonus eyelash curler!  I mean, seriously - talk about going above and beyond!!
The picture above features the oxygen nail treatment which is like "makeup for your nails."  It helps to strengthen, smooth and condition nails when used 1-2 times per week.  It is the perfect creamy sheer pale pink - I am absolutely in love with it.
My first official mani using color from this box features Ginger - a holographic pink/grey color that is gorgeous - probably my new favorite color in my collection.  It is shown above on my tips over Kelly - a pale creamy pink from a previous box.  Also showcased above is the most amazing topcoat I've ever used - the Freedom Polymer Topcoat!!  Three minutes after applying my polish is completely dry-set and read to go - fully chip resistant and looks like I had my nails done professionally!
The last color - which I have yet to try is this creamy olive green - such a different and unique color that I can't wait to play around with!

I can't believe the value of the box I received and how fantastic Julep Maven is - they have seriously mastered the subscription box service - they are like the Ritz Carlton of beauty boxes!!  What do you think of this box!?

Manicure Secret: Kiss Nail Dress

I love a good quality spa manicure.  But not quite as much as I love a manicure that I can do at home in 10 minutes that doesn't require drying!  I am becoming quite obsessed with these gorgeous mani decals from Kiss!  With Kiss Nail Dress you just peel, apply and shape!  No drying and no top coat necessary.  They are super easy to apply:

The package comes with 28 strips, plenty for hands AND toes - yep! They even work great for pedicures!  First, size up the strips, I've found you want to go a size larger than you think fits - then peel and stick on your clean nail, smoothing upward and holding pressure to bond the adhesive.  Next, fold over the top/excess and then, using the included file, just file off the extra.  It's really that simple! I did both hands in about 10 minutes!
Check out the other great designs, which they are always updating!  You can also cut the decals to make fun designs and mix and match patterns.  Then, when you are ready to change up your nails, you just peel the decals off and rub any excess adhesive off of your nails.  No damage, no mess, its seriously one of my favorite ways to have fabulous nails!

Which Kiss Nail Dress would you like to try?
